Let’s face it: we all had big plans for 2020. Many of us expected this new decade to be off to a strong start. The economy was the best it had ever been in years and, as a result, we planned for 2020 to be year of astronomical sales.
Oh, how quickly those plans changed. Just two months into the year, our plans (and maybe our motivation) became lost in the midst of all the chaos. The COVID-19 pandemic set many of us back. But the good news is, if you feel like you’ve been set back, you’re not alone! Most people have. And you know what they say…. after every storm comes a rainbow.
The storm has settled down a bit and people are starting to get back to work. We can all see the beginning of the rainbow!
If we’re being honest, getting back on track won’t be easy. But, with a good strategy in place and a little bit of extra hard work, it is not impossible! One of the biggest factors in your success is the quality leads you find. With quality leads, you can close deals quicker and bring in the revenue you need.
To reach your goals, you will want to bring in as many quality leads as you can. Here are some tips to help you find quality leads:
Have a strong homepage
Let’s say you’re doing an incredible job directing people to your website. That’s great! But what happens once they get to your website? Your website visitors should be taking some sort of action.
The homepage is generally the first page on your site that visitors will see, which means it must have the most intriguing content. If you want to capture a lead, try placing an offer that people can’t pass up on your homepage. With an offer you give your audience a reason to contact you.
You should also have at least one strong Call to Action Button. This button should stand out and it should be clear what you are asking website visitors to do. For instance, maybe you have a CTA button that asks visitors to sign up for your email newsletter. With an intriguing CTA button, more visitors will sign up for your newsletter which means you get another opportunity to connect with them.
Interact with leads
The biggest mistake you can make is to attract leads and not interact with them. That’s like winning a scratch off lottery ticket and throwing it in the trash! The unfortunate thing is, many people do this without even realizing it. Often times people will create FAQ pages, thinking it will help with engagement. While FAQs are necessary, this does not count towards engagement. In fact, your FAQ page is in-direct engagement.
Direct engagement utilizes tools such as live chats, help centers with customer service representatives, and forums. Thanks to technology, engagement has never been so easy. Be sure to take advantage of all the tools that are available to you and interact with each lead whenever you get the chance!
Consistent interaction results in better word-of-mouth and ultimately, more leads.
Provide informative content
Did you know that you can get leads just by providing people with more information? Think about what happens when someone lands on your website. Maybe they unintentionally came across your website but, after reading about what you do and how you can help them, they realize they are interested in your services. And just like that, you have a lead!
Your website, social media channels, and newsletters should all be full of high quality, informative content.
Automate your marketing
If you don’t have a popup on your website, you are missing out on a ton of leads. When someone comes to your website, they should be presented with a popup that asks for their email or contact information so they can stay up to date with the latest news and updates. Not everyone that visits your website will sign up for your newsletters, but most people will. With popups, you grow your contact list.
Automated marketing also works for you when you’re not around. Without going out and looking for leads, you’re still bringing in new leads. So even when you’re not looking for leads, they’re still coming your way!
Continue cold calling
Maybe you have been putting cold calling off for a while because you don’t have the time, or you’re not good at it. We get it- many people feel this way. But, now’s the time to do what you have never done!
